Occupational therapy may be indicated if a baby, child or student has difficulty in these areas:
- reaching developmental milestones
- gross motor co-ordination and balance
- posture
- establishing hand dominance
- clumsiness
- fine motor coordination
- play skills
- handwriting
- motor planning
- body awareness and self-care, e.g. dressing, feeding
- confidence with pencil and paper tasks including the use of pencils, scissors and drawing
- visual perception
- attention and concentration
